Through the Lens of Giving: SownWithLove in Pictures

SownWithLove initially started in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, SownWithLove sewed a variety of masks for adults and children to provide protection against the deadly disease. The SownWithLove team completed many drop offs throughout the Greater Houston Area including the Houston Food Bank, Star of Hope, and the Houston Area Women's Center. 

During the summer of 2024, SownWithLove did a collab with HASA (Houston Area South Asian) Sports. HASA hosts local basketball tournaments for South Asians. All proceeds and donations that HASA collects from the players are then donated to nonprofit organizations. This summer, HASA donated all proceeds to SownWithLove. With this money, SownWithLove aims to to buy more supplies to create more blanke

Throughout 2024, SownWithLove has worked hard to create as many blankets as possible to donate. On August 8, 2024, the SownWithLove team donated a plethora of blankets to Star of Hope. Star of Hope is a local homeless shelter in Houston that provides support to homeless families. SownWithLove plans to continue working with Star of Hope to provide comfort to the homeless community.
